Recycling instructions
Properly separating each container helps its materials to be recovered and prevents different waste from ending up in the same circuit.
Empty cosmetic containers
When you finish a cosmetic product, empty the container and separate its components whenever possible. Consult the instructions on the container itself and your municipality's collection rules, as these may vary depending on the material and location.
- Separate boxes, leaflets, and other paper or cardboard items.
- Check the material of the bottle, tube, cap, pump, or dropper before discarding it.
- Do not mix product residues with paper or cardboard.
- If a component combines several materials and cannot be separated, follow the instructions of your municipal waste service.
Medicines and their containers
Leftover medicines, expired medicines, and their containers should not be placed with cosmetic containers or in regular household bins. Take them to a SIGRE Point at a participating pharmacy.
Cosmetic products and their containers are not to be deposited at the SIGRE Point, unless the container itself expressly includes the SIGRE symbol or has been in contact with a medicine.
Do you have questions?
If you cannot identify the material or the appropriate circuit, consult your city council's instructions or write to us before discarding the container.
